Saturday..... June 22

I just got Mom up and
I am thinking about breakfast.....
I don't think I will be doing a WHOLE lot of
walking today since it is raining
right now.
Yesterday, I did 6 times around
the back yard in the morning
before the rain started....
no such luck today
maybe later
we'll see.
It's supposed to heat up to 90 something
and humid so...
PLUS
my leg muscles hurt today
probably from the humidity
:)
Back to Breakfast
hmmm....

-
Pizza crust
topped with eggs and veggies
served with juice.
(100% Juice. No sugar added.)

Lunch:

                                                                                        MACARONI & CHEESE
- A favorite lunch of macaroni and robust cheese
served with a colorful salad of
sliced beets and onions.

Dinner:

                                                                                     HOMESTYLE MEATLOAF
- Great tasting seasoned meatloaf
with turkey meat and seasonings
topped with tomato sauce and
served with garlic whipped potatoes,
cabbage and
cream style corn.

I threw this dinner out
last month
because all of the cabbage looked scary.
I saved it and saved it
and finally....
when I was ready to eat it
the cellophane on the top had
blown up a little bit
and when I opened it...
the stench of
sour kraut
blew out in my face.
:*(
BLEEECCCHHHHHH!!!!!

So I will be brave and
choose it before that happens.
I am scared of the cabbage however....
:)

Thursday..... June 20, 2013

I just finished lunch...

                                                                                  VEGGIE FILLED SANDWICH
- A pocket filled with
southwest veggies served with
a side salad
topped with fresh sugar snap peas and
delicious dressing.

DELICOUS !!!
I remember last month
when I had it
I thought.....
I really need to heat this up
in a toaster oven
so that it is "crispy"
and not "mushy".
and guess what....
IT WAS AWESOME !!!!!
:)

Even the salad was good because
instead of
Seattle Sutton dressing....
I am using this :

LOL
kinda big but
it is delicious and
NO CALORIES !!!

WOOT WOOT
:)

I have walked 4 times around the back yard and
I am on my 5th / 16 ounce bottle of water.

For dinner
I am thinking that I will have:

                                                                                         MACARONI & CHEESE
- A favorite lunch of
macaroni and robust cheese
served with a colorful salad of
sliced beets and onions.

Monday..... June 17th, 2013

I lost 3 more pounds !!!!
That makes a total of
-20 pounds :)
{{{{{{{ so proud }}}}}}}

I have been so busy
with house cleaning and
related chores.
I have always
LOVED
taking care of my house.
I am delighted that
FINALLY
I am moving around easier
with waaaaay less pain !!!
Now, for the most part,
I just feel
"heavy"
:)
I know that it will just keep getting
better and better !!!!
I just looked at my fitbit and
I am already at
3937 steps and it is only 3:20 !!!

I discovered that
there are approximately
270 steps around the back yard.

The other day,
I heard that
3 / 15 minute walks have
the same health benefits as
1 / 45 minute walk....

That is very encouraging to me !!!

i was thinking that
when Winter rolls around and the snow comes,
I can probably still walk
out there
but if not.....
I will be ready for
ZUMBA !!!!

GO ME
:)

Wrong Email Address.....

Sorry....
This is a funny email classic that
I haven't thought of in
YEARS ...

I wanted to keep it and I thought this
might be a good place to put it.
LOL
Here it is :

A lesson to be learned from typing the wrong email address!

A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a
particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they
spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier.

Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel
schedules. So, the husband left Minnesota and flew to Florida on Thursday
with his wife flying down the following day.

The husband checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he
decided to send an email to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one
letter in her email address, and without realizing his error, sent the
e-mail.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston, a widow had just returned home from her
husband's funeral. He was a Baptist minister who was called home to glory
following a heart attack.

The widow decided to check her e-mail expecting messages from relatives and
friends. After reading the first message, she screamed and fainted.

The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw
the computer screen which read:

To: My Loving Wife
Subject: I've Arrived
Date: March 21, 2012

I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and
you are allowed to send emails to your loved ones. I've just arrived and
have been checked in.

I've seen that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow
Looking forward to seeing you then! Hope your journey is as uneventful as
mine was.

P. S. Sure is freaking hot down here!!!

haha
HILARIOUS !!!

:)

I am having tuna for lunch today.

                                                                                                 PASTA SALAD
- A unique luncheon of
pasta salad with flaked tuna
served with a miniature peanut snack and
fresh fruit.

The miniature peanut snack is
IN THE SHAPE OF A COOKIE !!!!

:)

Dinner tonight will be:

                                                                                SPAGHETTI WITH MEAT SAUCE
- A Seattle Sutton specialty.
Chunky meat sauce on top of whole wheat pasta,
accompanied by
our best celery cheese bake
and spiced peach.

I took my Blood Pressure this morning and
it  117 / 71
my pulse was 81.

i am starting to walk out in the back yard.
I try to go once in the morning around 9:30 or so
once around 2:30 and then after
I put Mom to bed
around 7:30.
Yesterday I logged 4286 steps !!!!
YAY!!!!
Before I started Seattle Sutton,
my total was around
589 a day
:)

that makes:

16.1 total lost all together

:) GO ME (:

Wednesday.... June 12th

I LOST 2 POUNDS LAST WEEK !!!!

I haven't posted for a few days
but I am still
going strong :)

Yesterday
I happened to notice the calorie counts
on my meal boxes.
duh
I decided that I was just going to
pick a meal without looking
I mean....
after all, I am going to eat it eventually anyway.
Well
Yesterday for lunch
I reached into the fridge and pulled out.....
turkey soup
:***(
I HATE TURKEY SOUP !!!
IT MAKES ME GAG PEOPLE
:***(
so
I had an extra dinner
that I have been dancing around and I thought....
I am going to check the calories and swap it for the
dreaded and horrible
turkey soup
Much to my surprise,
when I checked the calories on each,
I discovered that they were both around 320 calories
so I thought...
what the heck??

I still have the awful
turkey soup
waiting in the fridge
but I am hoping that I can avoid it and
never have to eat it.
:)
So that's my story and
I'm stickin' with it !!!!

I had a great breakfast this morning and I was
really surprised when I
checked the calories on my cereal and saw that
it had the same as my dinner last night.
340 calories !!!
yikes
no wonder I have a weight problem.
What an eye opener !!!!

I did add some soy milk
and it was very tasty
but
it was about 1/2 the amount that
I would have eaten before.

Monday Morning.... June 3rd

I weighed in this morning and
I lost another 1 and 1/2 pounds !!!
Down 14.5 and
getting ready to start week # 4
:)
I am so proud / amazed / psyched
that I am still
"doing it"
Since there is no thinking involved
in meal choices
I am finding it so "easy" ???
I'm  not sure if that is the way I want to say it
but, like my friend Donna said,
I am not always
thinking about food.
That makes a big difference,
for me anyway.
No meal planning, no weighing, no measuring....
I just open my package and
decide if I am using the
toaster oven or the microwave.
Gotta love that !!!
At any rate....
I am tickled pink
that I am FINALLY losing weight !!!
I am thinking ahead
about the future "healthy" me
and that makes me excited to have a future.
I will join Curves when
I start to move around better.
I am beginning to enjoy my meals a little more.
Sort of getting used to them.
I have made a few substitutions.
Nothing huge.
I had a small squirt of my own low fat salad dressing
instead of the vinegary one that
I knew was lurking in the corner of my
little package.
:)
All in all
I am excited and optimistic !!!
Have a great day
everyone
:)
